Therapy should optimally help you move, grow and blossom. In psychotherapy, the hope is that one identifies areas of stuckness and that in partnership with the therapist, you work towards movement and change. Therapy is not only about being validated or supported, but it is most essentially about being nurtured and pushed (all at the same time!) Therapy should be hard, uncomfortable , supportive and empowering. The therapeutic process should feel a little bit like someone is saying "I believe in your capacity to change, do YOU?"

Sharon has coached me through the illnesses and deaths of both my parents. Through that time she helped me learn how to process my grief, take better care of myself, enhance my relationship with my husband, and become a better parent.
